Whoever said "never sweat the small stuff" was never a fly on the wall in my Sauna.

(or workouts or on a long brisk walk 😂)

Actually, I feel it's imperative to sweat the small stuff.

Also to flush em with water, time, love.

I'm so lucky to live in a time where some of my best friends and mentors know exactly what herb or ointment or mirroring we can use to honor, witness the "small" stuff, I'm so lucky to have their wisdom and love. Their honest simple love allows me to keep the "small stuff" small so that I can be with it all with the amount of presence my nervous system has capacity for, and a little bit more than that.

These days, we feel like a team, my nervous system and I. I take care of being kind and firm and she takes care of me. Giving me what I can "handle" and stretching my capacity every little bit because I do love that too. ;)

My nervous system has an unspoken but very clear deal with me in that space between words that we communicate in:

My job is to: sweat the small stuff, literally. Take care of this vessel, physically and emotionally. Sit in it, sweat it out, wash it off, stretch for longer.
My other job is No Drama, so I can hear the subtle whispers too. to that I say: Okay ma'am. Can do. I'm in.

It's job is to keep me safe but to promise to keep learning that: stretching doesn't mean dying, it means growing and expanding capacity. It's job is also to trust me as deep as I trust myself, and to plug out of any forces besides for the source to life force - God.

The agreement is working well, for now.
One moment at a time is also a part of our deal.
(That sort of comes along with no drama.)

My mind gets to rest a bit, and my heart gets to open with this arrangement.
I get to trust myself by trusting myself, and by following through on my end of the deal.
Every day is a new day to show up to our relationship.
Integration in real time.

That's an added perk for me, and I'm into it.

This relationship keeps me forever a student of life, only always, never not.

For that, and infinitely more, I'm grateful.
