Confidence is not believing in yourself enough to carry the world.

Confidence is remembering
that you were never asked to carry it alone.

Summer of Aliveness is an invitation
to practice staying.

Staying with your breath.

Staying with your body.

Staying when intimacy deepens.

Staying when beauty overwhelms you.

Staying when your heart opens.

Staying when God feels impossibly near.

Staying when God feels hidden.

Staying long enough
for your body to discover
that openness is not danger.

That receiving does not require repayment.

That pleasure is not something to apologize for.

That leadership is not performance.

That prayer is not escape.

That this world,
with its ocean,
its friendships,
its sunsets,
its laughter,
its tears,
its business,
its marriage,
its art,
its children,
its holy ordinary moments -

is where Hashem has always wanted to meet you.

Maybe confidence
is simply what love feels like

after it has stayed long enough

to become your home.

And maybe the greatest miracle
is not that we find God.

It is that, little by little,

our bodies learn

to stay long enough

to discover

Hashem never left.
