The Method: A Way of Living and Orienting to Life
Oct 16, 2026A practice to return to your soul and your center over and over again while living, creating, and being you, and while honoring all it means to be human
Step 1) I am aware that I am aware
Simply remember and state and feel and orient to the realizing that you are aware of your experience rather than being the experience itself. Orient deeply to the present moment, as the soul having a human experience that you are.
Step 2) I feel
List all that you feel, and allow yourself to feel it fully while acknowledging that your feelings are not who you are. And then say: “I embrace and feel my feelings; I am not my feelings.”
All feelings are allowed and honored, all tears welcome, all anger, disappointment, pleasure, joy. Everything is invited. The key here is I FEEL my feelings, but they aren’t who I AM. I feel my feelings; I am not my feelings. I amplify the feeling and feel it. I take the time/create the time to FEEL the contraction - not make sense of it, not identify with it... Feel it. Allow yourself to feel what you feel.
I feel my feelings; I’m not my feelings
I think my thoughts; I am not my thoughts
Step 3) I acknowledge that I am the steward of my own energy.
Remembering my agency to steward energy in each moment.
Step 4) I create/ I am creating/ I created - “with Hashem, I intend”
There is always something to create in each moment: support, self-love, a shower, a boundary, a deep breath, a moment to really stop and feel, self-acknowledgement, or a big idea! What do I choose to create? How can I utilize my agency in each moment?
Step 5) I am
I am who I choose to believe myself to be and embody. Choose things you want to be/really are/aspects of your soul and embody them. Who you are is a state of BEING, so for example, you are not loving; you are Love. You are not Generous; you are Generosity, etc...
Step 6) I am that I am
Deeper than all of it, than what you feel, create, even who you believe yourself to be and embody... what and who you are is simply who you are. You are who you are. I am who I am. This is your innate essence. This is You.
You may also choose to add: I am a soul having a Human experience
So many of you have been asking me to send this to you recently, so here it is. The Method, used by me and my clients, is based on the Baal Shem Tov’s teachings, Kabbalah, somatic experiencing, and developmental psychology.
This is not a one-time practice; it is a way of living and orienting to life.
Use this as journal prompts, or return to it whenever you want to plug back into your essence and return to your center while fully honoring and embracing all it means to be human.
Have fun!
Love, Rivky
