
Stop Over-Identifying With Your Emotions and Live From Your Being
Aug 25, 2025Your feelings do not define you. Only your state of BEING does.
You aren't your stories, your patterns, your nervous system responses, or your emotions. You are a much deeper, truer thing than that.
You aren't your good days or your challenging moments. You aren't your triggers, defense mechanisms, or patterns. You most definitely aren't your healing, or your "healing journey."
You aren't your thoughts, your suffering, your age, your neurosis, your perfectionism, or even your gifts and talents.
You are your state of Be-ing. Never what you do and accomplish, always what you always were.
The only things you truly have are the things you create from that state of BEING. You are divinity defined.
If you get activated, triggered, or lose your sense of balance, self, or alignment. If you feel hijacked by an emotion, shame, or experience, a great 3-step tool I created and use all the time is asking yourself:
I feel (this helps you acknowledge yourself without bypassing your real feelings)
I will create (this helps you remember your power and your co-creative power with the divine)
I AM (and answer this question with a state of Being. Example: I am Love, as opposed to I am loving. Or I am spaciousness, as opposed to I am spacious)
Then use your state of Being to BE WITH the way you feel, and use your will and creative power to create anything new you may want in your field.
It may be as small as a perspective shift, a good cry, noticing your feet on the ground or getting outside. It may even be creating the choice to stop judging a feeling you are perceiving as "negative."
You are your state of Being. And your state of Being is divine. You are the steward of your own energy. You get to decide what you want to BE with, and what you want to create in every moment of your life.
