A message from my heart

A message from my heart for therapists, healers, Rabbis, leaders, clergy, facilitators, parents, partners, teachers

Words without embodiment will not touch or enter the hearts of those we speak to.
Resonance can only be sensed and felt in the body, the nervous system, the energy field.
If you do not embody the words you teach, speak, or preach, your students, clients, children, and partners will FEEL that.

Resonance is a felt sense. It exists in the field where presence is. It exists inside of what is real and true. It exists when the insides and outsides can both Be - as they are. It exists when the insides and outsides match.

There is a Hebrew saying I love:
דברים היוצאים מן הלב, נכנסים אל הלב

Which means: Words that come from the heart, enter the heart.

When we embody what we teach... teaching becomes easy as 1,2,3.
And we are heard in that place deeper than words, in that place beyond words... we are FELT.

Someone asked me recently: "How do I teach my clients boundaries?"
I responded: Model it to them. Uphold your own. Have them with your SELF. BE what you are desiring to teach.

A friend asked me recently: "How can I teach my child self-respect? How can I teach them confidence?"
I responded: Model it to them. BE what you are desiring to teach. Show up in those ways. Show... don't tell.

Embodiment is the greatest teacher. People will rarely remember what you said. They will remember how they felt. They will remember how much you, or they, were in their body when you said it. They will remember the energy, or vibrancy, or confidence, or grace, or love that you embodied and imbued. They will remember your state of BEING.

The most effective (for long-term) therapists and practitioners, healers and guides are the ones that are embodied inside of their state of BEING. The ones that Be what they teach. The ones that have a visceral sense of their presence and its impact... inside of their bodies.

Doing and saying and teaching and preaching don't hold a candle to the impact that we make by BEING.

Thank you to all my teachers, including nature and the elements, "simple" people who crossed my path, people who "challenged" me, friends and clients, and loved ones... for BEING you. Thank you for the place inside of you that is deeper than words, from the place inside of me that is deeper than words. I see you, I love you, I thank you.”
