If I Am Not For Me, Who Will Be? Taking Care of Your Sacred Vessel

Oct 22, 2025

I have a friend who is a mom of many children.
She takes care of herself and her body, allows herself to receive, feeds herself, gets in the sun, moves and rests

When asked (often): "how can you afford the time to do all of the care that you do for yourself? she answers: I can't afford NOT to.

Instead of asking myself: what is the cost of taking care of this vessel, I ask myself: what is the cost NOT to?

I'm ein ani li mi li... a Hebrew saying that is translated to mean: If I am not for me, then who will be?

We are the precious ones we are living for.

We all have our own ways of moving, and resting, and caring, and being with and dancing with the divine. Of taking care of our energy and our bodies and our spirit. I shared some of mine here... most of them are very simple.

Living life as a ceremony isn't challenging. It's a new orientation, a new way of making each moment matter because you matter, I matter, we matter.

Our health and our vitality and our strength and our spirit matters

The more energy you move and are around, the more energetic hygiene practices one needs to have.

Since I move a tremendous amount of energy every day with my work, my life asks of me to keep leveling up with my energetic hygiene

There are many tips that I teach in my energetic hygiene classes... but the most important one is taking care of our bodies, the holy vessel for our soul, the place that is the channel that the divine chooses to speak, move, and flow from, uniquely through each one of us.

Taking care of ourselves is not something to get right
Or something to beat ourselves up about not doing
It's a choice to love ourselves into vitality into each moment
It's a choice to take loving actions, each day anew
To show, not just tell this body that it's safe with us now
We got it, and we will take care of it until the end of time
To the best of our ability.

A line you can say out loud right now to your body if you choose:
Hi body, you are safe with me now. I got you now. I will take care of you and keep you nourished, fed, delighted, expressed, and clear to the best of my ability each day. I've got you, I love you, I'm with you, I'm a part of you.
