How Words Trigger Our Bodies and Minds Differently

Dec 18, 2025

MONEY. Pause for a moment (if you choose). What did you notice inside of your mind, or body when you read the word MONEY?

GOD. Pause for a moment (if you choose). What did you notice inside of your mind, or body when you read the word GOD?

FOOD. Pause for a moment (if you choose). What did you notice inside of your mind, or body when you read the word FOOD?

SEX. Pause for a moment (if you choose). What did you notice inside of your mind, or body when you read the word SEX?

I LOVE YOU. Pause for a moment (if you choose). What did you notice inside of your mind, or body when you read the words "I LOVE YOU?"

It's a conversation I have with myself inside all the time. (Welcome to the inside of my head;) When I hear a word and I notice an activated feeling, I like to feel into the resonance of that word. When I hear it, I ask myself: What is the charge here that I'm feeling? What is this vibration? The feeling? Is there a memory here in my mind or body? A resistance? Pull? Push? Contraction?

To be alive on this journey of being a human is to learn in so many ways that we see, feel and experience the world through the perception and lens in which we were shaped. We see the world through our individual eyes. The same eyes and body that experienced our individual body, hearts, and souls journey. Most of what we feel isn't about the present moment at all - it's our subconscious choosing for us, again and again.

Someone can say "I love you" in a room of 1,000 people and everyone can have a different experience. One person can feel flattered and loved, another can feel untrusting and creeped out, a third can think "what do they want from me?", a fourth can feel neutral and unbothered, a fifth can receive it gracefully.... and that is just 5 out of 1,000 people!

This is why slowing down and pausing is so crucial to be a part of co-creating a new reality with Hashem. Because the world doesn't change when the trigger word changes. The world changes when our internal response softens. The gift of pausing is giving space and time for the places inside that tighten, collapse, or brace… And give us an opportunity to meet life from neutrality instead of survival, clarity instead of old stories, choice instead of reactivity.

So if there is a word that brings up activation for you, see if you can pause long enough to remember that you are awareness, and not only the pattern being remembered in your body and field. Then: you can work through the steps of creating space to feel somatically, remembering that you are the steward of your own energy, create something new, (even a deep breath) and remember who you ARE underneath the pattern/old program running in your subconscious.

Underneath it all, you are that you are. I am that I am. Human + Holiness, a piece of God 🤍
