Creating Sacred Space in a Fast-Paced World
Sep 14, 2025The most precious thing in the whole world to me is to connect with our creator. To become intimate with the divine inside of us and all around us. It is a rare thing in this fast world to live from and for our souls and God. Hashem (the God of my understanding) is always here. In every breath. In our pain, our joy, our grief, and our rising. When we look for God in each moment, we find God. Because God is everywhere we choose to look. Our creator is always waiting for us to know, be, connect, and keep becoming the light that we are.
Shabbat is my number one Medicine without Medicine. For some people, Shabbos can be tied to rules, and laws, and stress, and their parents' relationship with it. For some, it can be devoid of meaning and intimacy and for some it can be filled with beauty and ease. For me, it is about presence, nourishment, soul alignment, and embodiment. It's a time to Be all the things that I teach, and lead with. It's a time to rest in who I am at the core. It is my number one tool to raise my vibration, and allow a God consciousness to permeate every breath. Not by doing anything but by consciously choosing to Be.
It's time to pray. It's time to connect. It's time to keep letting my body ground deeper and deeper into the moment, so my soul can fly. I thank Hashem out loud, for Shabbat. It is a major source of blessing and embodied abundance in my life. It is a built in liminal space and sacred pause (and everyone who knows even a little bit about Manifestation knows how important that is in the co-creative process). It is a space for me to be my most true self. To tap into an energy beyond a weekday, a day to touch eternity.
However you celebrate is precious. You and the divine have a relationship that is the most true for you. Whether you are Jewish or not, practicing the "rules" of Shabbat or not, I bless you to take the time for a moment (or 25 hours of focused rest), of remembering ritual, of lighting a candle or 2, of singing a song, cooking something nourishing, of pausing to create conscious connection with your own soul, and your creator. Pray, tap into a frequency that is beyond logic, that is "above" reality. Shabbat Shalom.
