Capacity isn't about DOING more. It's about becoming the version of ourselves who can naturally hold more.

Every new level of our lives will ask more of our nervous system and identity.

A person who generates a lot more impact, visibility, and revenue (from a place of soul) isn't necessarily smarter, more creative, or a greater visionary than someone who doesn't — they've often developed the capacity to hold greater complexity, ambiguity, responsibility, faith without proof, trust without logic, stewardship, and emotional intensity.

The same is true in relationships. It's one thing to desire deep intimacy. It's another thing to have the capacity to stay open when you're misunderstood, to communicate vulnerably, to repair after conflict, to let things go, to take things less personally, to be true to yourself, to maintain boundaries and grace, and to receive love without pushing it away.

The thing is, when someone is starting to create change, transformation, a new identity, and real radical newness, it comes along with stretching. Many people interpret that as discomfort, and discomfort as a sign to stop. But that stretching is actually the exact evidence that you're stretching beyond the identity your brain has learned to protect.

Your nervous system says, "This is unfamiliar." Your mind translates it as, "This is unsafe." Capacity work teaches us to stay present long enough for unfamiliar to become familiar. For the previous dream and desire to become our baseline. That's how a dream of a present, full, human, divine, connected, authentic, and prosperous life becomes embodied, lived, everyday reality.

Capacity is very little about "how much can I achieve?" but rather... "How much can I hold, allow, steward, be a vessel for?"

How much truth can I hold? How much Divine life can move through me? How available am I to my soul? How much beauty, love, creativity, responsibility, and aliveness can I allow? Do I have capacity to stretch, to forget, to remember, to expand? This is Capacity.

Can you hold a thriving business? Can you allow deeply connected and intimate relationships and connections? How much blessing does your system allow before tapping out? Can you hold more joy, receiving, paradox, complexity? Can you hold and steward greater responsibility without carrying it as heaviness? Can you hold your vision when the path isn't clear, or when it is clear even when others don't see it or hold it with you? Can you stay present in the flow of life? This is the work of capacity.

And the greatest capacity of all? Being kind to ourselves. Taking a chance on ourselves. Getting on our own team. Becoming our own best friend. Being Her/Him now.
