At the End of the Abyss Lives Hashem
Nov 17, 2025The truthiest truth is
At the bottomiest bottom
At the end of the end
of the abyss,
when the light has stopped pretending,
when prayers feel like echoes
Sometimes bouncing off the walls
Resounding through time and space
Wondering if anyone picked up what you put down
there H/she is.
Not the God people use to fill silence or space,
but the raw pulse beneath ruin,
the stillness and life that doesn’t explain itself
It doesn't need to
You think you’ve fallen out of reach,
but the fall is the reaching towards. It is the remembering.
The breaking is the opening.
So is the joy
Every no, every fear, every pain, every maybe, every dance, every choice really, is a doorway back to faith. Back to Hashem
This is a part of the Frequency of Freedom
At the bottom, at the end of the abyss
When there is nowhere left to go
When you and I come face to face with our very own souls
The place with no sound, no form, no name, no knowing
and then,
somehow
Hashem is there.
Hashem is here
Hashem is everywhere
Not arriving anywhere
Already there.
In the dark that isn’t really dark,
Rabbi Nachman said this
He looked and found out: there is no despair
Ultimately
At all
Hashem is in the breath you forgot you were still taking
The breath you always, always take
As long as you are alive
Every day
You look up,
but there’s no “up.”
Only being met,
utterly.
Only always, never not
Thank you Hashem.
